Oceanview is the “O” in the OMI — Oceanview, Merced Heights, and Ingleside — and lies just south of Ingleside in southwest San Francisco. It’s a primarily residential neighborhood of well-kept single-family homes and the Oceanview Terrace condominiums, set on quiet streets around Broad Street, Randolph, and Head. Diverse, community-minded, and among the more attainable places to own in the city, it’s long been popular with families and first-time buyers.

Everyday shopping and dining are right at the northern edge along Ocean Avenue (see our Ingleside guide for the full corridor), and the neighborhood is well served by the K-Ingleside Muni Metro, nearby Balboa Park BART, City College, and quick I-280 access. Hilltop Brooks Park and the Lakeview & Ashton mini park give it green space and some of the best views on the west side.
